In 1874, Alexandrine BONNAFFOUX leaves Crots, small village of Hautes-Alpes beside Spray to come to Embrun in Briançon.
It created the " COFFEE OF THE CHAUSSÉE" with the hiring of rooms at the beginning of the central street and at the bottom of the avenue of the republic more usually called "LA CHAUSSÉE".


Briançon in full rise with the army, in 1892 it builds "L'HÔTEL DE LA CHAUSSÉE" opposite its bar.

The generations followed one another with the Love of the place and its history.

Raymond BONNAFFOUX the fifth generation took again the torch and to transform an apartment to create three lofts with modernity and the mountain style country cottage image of the Head office of "L'HÔTEL DE LA CHAUSSÉE" where you will find objects clouded for your greater pleasure.
